Got drunk
Yep, guilty!
I'm not going to write an insanely long post about how and why. I will just say this, got drunk really early this morning. Received several butt kickings, felt really bad about what I've done and had my own little pity party. Party is over and io need to rethink everything and figure out where to go from here and how to get there. For now I'm going to bed, alcohol hasn't worn off completely yet and I haven't slept all night.

This may be the perfect time to take your problems to God and an oldtimer and say "My very best thinking has got me to this point. I am letting go of the steering wheel and humbly asking if you can help me out of my mess. I will do whatever you suggest because it is undoubtedly better than my reasoning."
I had to surrender before the magic began to happen ... to admit defeat.
Thinking of and praying for you.

If only I could fall asleep. Tried 4 different things and nothing. Any suggestions? I'm afraid if I don't get some sleep I'll end up doing the same thing I was doing this morning.

Still not sleeping. The urge to drink is greater now than it was this morning. Meeting in less than 5 hours. Just need to shut my brain up until then and everything should be fine.

I know insomnia is hard - but drinkings not the answer, Chiyo...it just perpetuates the cycle that got you into this situation in the first place.
To get anywhere, I had to stop thinking of drink as a solution - it had to cease to be a viable option for me, or I was dragged back down into the tar pit.
