A journey that is worth every step.
Good morning SR peeps, I have missed everyone. First my computer went down then we had internet issues. Its amazing how much I missed using it when it was gone.
Getting to this point in my sobriety has not all been easy, at times it has been hard and painful. I can say today though it has been worth every step. This time it has been 82 days of un-interrupted sobriety. Most days sober in my entire life. I thank my Higher Power every day for leading me into the rooms of AA, for the beginning of my spiritual journey. I have finally found what I so longly searched to the end of all those bottles in the rooms.
And in this journey I have learned that it is a continues growing process of learning and working on my shortcomings, character defects, and all the other human problems we all face. And anytime I reached a crossroad or roadblock which seemed it could de-rail me, I stuck with the winners and let my HP come to my aid and help me with making the right choice and surmounting all obstacles.
Great reading today about having the strength to quit. I know for me at first I definatly asked myself that. "how will I find the strength to quit". And for me I needed to just go to meetings and be surrounded with people before me that already have done just that. And if I could take the cotten out of my ears and stick it in my mouth for a bit, I could learn from them. And so I did , and in doing so I have found so much of myself , I am sober today and that is what counts.
Nice to be back , thanks for letting me ramble as always. And remember to smile because sobriety looks good on YOU.
Good love, Inda

Wow what I wrote about yesterday , everything I was saying was in todays reading. I love how things can just come together.
Strength comes from the fellowship you find when you come into A.A. just being with men and women who have found the way out gives you a feeling of security. You listen to the speakers, you talk with other members, and you absorb the atmosphere of confidence and hope that you find in the place. Am I receiving strength from the fellowship with other AA. members?
Look foward to a great friday meeting, havnt been to in a couple weeks.
Have a beautiful weekend all.
Good love, Inda
