My name is Justin and I'm a 27 year old male who has tried numerous times to give up drinking. I've been through counseling, tried cold turkey all to no avail. I know it's time for me to stop but my struggle has always been "im too young to NOT drink" as I would no longer be able to have fun. On the flip side, all the fun I've had has led to poor decisions, minor regrets and some property damage lol. This journey/path that I'm willing to take I am hoping will show me a new life and show me who I am. I am so very excited that I found this support group as I was not too keen on AA groups (not to knock the mission of that group).

Welcome to SR. Lots of support on here from a variety of people trying different things.

Blocks are hard to get past whether it's thinking you are too young or too stressed or too high functioning. Once you begin to work past that things can really start to happen.
