We just left and I'm pretty excited. I know there is going to be some drinking going on. I have already told most of them I wouldn't be drinking. I usually have no problem saying no and being fine with that.

But this time I'm so nervous. I'm not sure why this time is different. I think maybe they won't understand why I'm not drinking.

These are coworkers so I really don't want to announce my problems with drugs and alcohol. Usually I say I'm on a health kick and drinking isn't part of that. I'm going to stick with that but any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just usually say no thanks ritag - we may feel other people are owed an explanation but they're really not, IMO.
