I am going to ignore the craving, go to the gym this evening, come home and enjoy going to bed sober! Then wake up feeling good.

I don't need a drink today because drinking is something I used to do way back then. Drinking is like cocaine, because I don't do that anymore either.

I am not going to drink today because I want to be bright and active when I start work tomorrow morning at 8am. I've cleaned my shoes, I've ironed my shirt and I am certainly not going to stagger into the office wishing I was dead.

I do not need a drink today because ....... I got down on my knees beside the bed this morning and asked God for the strength to stay sober today (as I have done without fail for over 22 yrs and God has not failed me either). I then went to a great morning meeting in a nearby town that I enjoy and I'll be at my Home Group this evening.

I'm not going to drink today because I'm finally dealing with issues sober and i'm learning a lot about myself which I should have learnt 16 years ago and I'm actually enjoying it

I don't need a drink today because I'm a smart, cool, and fun person without it. I have work tomorrow, a move coming up, and two pets that depend on me. Plus i have a great weekend ahead of cleaning and packing

I do NOT need a drink today because i'm looking pretty damn good without the bloated face and greasy eyelids! On a more serious note, like Alana said, my little girls need a sober mommy to take care of them and to set good examples.

Life is beautiful today! Not perfect, just another good, sober day.

Having to drink to get rid of anxiety, social phobia, and to feel "normal" today is a non-issue. Those things left as I stay stopped and work my AA program of recovery.
