Starting to feel joy again
Starting to feel joy again
I'm 46 days sober, and today I really noticed that I was feeling joy again.
Went to my kids school today and volunteered in their classrooms, helping the teachers out with odds and ends. Watched my sons class play a hilarious game in the gym. Actually had belly laughs. Then tonight after my meeting, we got on the WII and did one of those Just Dance games. We were all jumping around and acting silly and it was great!
I started noticing this change a couple of days ago. Really subtle then. But as I was showering this evening after playing the WII with the kids, I thought man, I really had joy today. And it was joy over simple things.
I was really scared my joy for life would not return this time sober. But it really is starting to. I know there are still going to be rough days, as we all have. But now I really am starting to feel that hope sink in.
The miracle is happening!!
I love and thank you all!!
God bless.
