New Year
Happy New Year.
I am part of an Committe that organises events and we put on a great NYE Party, spent all day setting it up, started with a meeting and then a DJ. So many people turned up. The venue was a sailing club on the beach and it was hot, we had fireworks music food of course and lots of fun.
Got home at 3am and feeling tired but not sick this morning.
What did or will you be doing?
Kevin

I'll have the house to myself tonight and am going to watch a good movie, browse on SR, and lounge with my doggies. I already gave them a dental chew bone and they loved it. I'm going to stay home, stay safe and warm, and enjoy myself.
I don't want to be driving tonight cause every drunk in the county will be on the roads...and I don't want to be out there where they are...

I'm going out to a music venue. Ok, its a bar. I committed to this a while ago and I feel strong. I'm the DD of course. Its strange but I only know one person who doesnt drink. I will definately bring in the new year sober!
Hi everyone! I'm at my annual New Year's Eve party with my dear friends in Mobile. Most everyone is drinking but my husband and I are abstaining. A few people are already drunk (one person has fertilized the fronlt lawn so far) but i'm hanging in and enjoying myself. To say that this isn't stressful and that i'm not tempted and craving would be a lie but it's not as bad as I had feared. Seeing people already quite drunk and being rather loud and, honestly, obnoxious is serving as a reminder of one of the many reasons I am happier sober. I hope everyone out there tonight can take in their surroundings and find peace knowing that getting through tonight sober and honestly enjoying yourself is a great gift. I'm not depriving myself of a good time, i'm just learning that good times can be had while sober.
Happy New Year's Eve, SR friends!
