After reading your post it affirms that we have to do this forever, no matter how much time we have sober we can’t return to drinking, not even a little. I’ve never made it 8 or 9 years sober yet but I was just saying to my wife that the thing that is different this time is that my recovery is active, just as active as my addiction and I really think that is very important to stay a step ahead of that first drink.
