Update: Day 20
OP treatment is going well. I find I'm even enjoying it. I've met some great people. It's humbling being part of such a group where nothing is held back. There is also a warped sense of humor amongst addicts that I find oddly refreshing.
I took a sick day today, however, to get some stuff done that needs to be taken care of before the Thanksgiving holiday. Would rather take today and go back to OP tomorrow so I don't have as long of a break - 4 day weekend. Cravings have been minimal and manageable thus far and there will be no alcohol at the family holiday so no worries there.

I know what you mean. I find that the people in recovery are some of the most "real" people I've ever met.
