It's absolutely not my place to give any advice, but I just want to say to you - the cravings are a big lie. When wr have them we become consumed with the impression that we will always feel a need to drink. WRONG. However you can do it - get past the cravings. The rest is all good. When you feel cravings, remind yourself of the truth - it will pass. And also remind yourself that everyone here is cheering you on.
Congrats Shamus.
And you are absolutely right about the cravings. I didn't have a big issue with it either as I had a constant nagging reminder in the back of my head of how I felt when I drank...besided the guilt and all that annoying stuff...it was the feeling of the loss I had living in my community as a normal human being. Walking with my head up, having conversations with normal people, enjoying life. I've got this...and now you've got this, too.
Wishing you peace and strength.

I don't miss the lieing, unfaithfulness, sneaking,
before, during and after my drinking. Once I became
HONEST in all my affairs, I finally recieved the
gift of FREEDOM I had never known before.
A gift that Id like to hold onto for the rest of my
sober life.
