Why won't some people believe you have a drinking problem?

people tell me that ya you need to control it. i cant just have one. its either all or nothing. i understand where your coming from

and most importantly.....

I just found a hidden cup where I was drinking a margarita in the basement while watching the kids. Hidden behind the HVAC.

I guess if I told them about that they'd have a different view of my alcoholism. But I don't want to tell them and don't have to. Seeing that cup today reminded me of why I'm quitting.

Nobody would try to convince you that you don't have a drinking problem unless it threatened their sense of self in some way, even if they don't realize it.
