This is why I'm trying this site. I can write down what I'm feeling and hope that there are people out there to help

1 year 4 months 51 days off crack thanks to AA and this web site. Depression, anxiety, got all that. Gettin better because I put out the effort to stay straight. Plenty of help here. Keep posting.

Looking thru this site and posts it seems this is more for people with alcohol and prescription drug problems.

Hollandrea: This site is, as you say, for folks with alcohol and prescription drug problems but it includes any kind of addictive dependency, including so called "unlawful" drugs. And you can use your own discretion as to what you wish to say and also remain completely anonymous. You don't have to indicate your drug of choice if you don't wish to. It's all up to you. Good luck.

Not really. Take a look at the substance abuse forum, lots of different DOCs there. All kinds of addiction, but all the same at the bottom line: destruction and death.

I've found this site to be very helpful and despite the people here being far away, I feel close to these friends. I think you'll find the same.

I don't think DOC has much to do with finding support in recovery, but for the record, mine was Klonopin washed down with booze and pot to curl the edges. I really, really suggest you try AA or NA. go to a meeting. It's hard to go but easy as soon as you walk through the door.

Is your husband interested in recovery?

Memphis, I know my husband would like to get clean but he will never go to a meeting or talk to someone. Not to make an excuse for him but he is full blooded Italian and will not get help from anyone. you would have to understand the way a full blooded italian thinks.
I'm going to have to be the stronger person and get us both thru this mess.
