My father died today, cirrhosis of the liver
My father died this morning at the young age of 66 from cirrhosis of the liver.
1 yr ago today was my DUI accident resulting in 1st degree vehicular homicide, most of you know, it was my best friend of 25 yrs who was killed in my passenger seat.....ironic.
I will face today sober....I hope we all can.
I am still here and I am determined to make a difference. I have to turn this around and make something good come out of these 2 deaths in my life.

gr8ful42day...You have my prayers, as does your entire family. I'm really glad you are here today. And I am glad to learn from your posts that you know that you are in the hands of an incredible loving God, who knows your struggles and is with you always. Peace, my friend.
Your car reminds me of mine after hitting a concrete culvert sitting on top the ground 21 yrs ago. That was in FEB 1990. Then i got sober Aug.1990. A many one days @ a time added together to get me where im at today.
Wishing u well.

Gr8 I'm so very sorry for the losses you are facing today. Alcoholism is an awful disease that affects every aspect of our lives. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Best Wishes To You!
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I'm so sorry for your loss I look at my recovery as a way to honor those who didn't make it, including my XABF. I tuck them in a special place in my heart, and take them with me on "recovery road".
Hugs and prayers,
Amy
