Hi Loony....yes, my problem was binge drinking also. I also smoked when drinking....managed to quick smoking about 7 years ago and am closing in on 8 months without booze, BUT, it took me a long time to admit I had a problem....I wish I could have admitted I had a problem at age 24 and started working on quitting then, but I am so glad I have quit drinking for good. I played the mind games of quitting for two weeks, 3 weeks, and then rewarding myself (which ended up being binging for 3 weekends in a row) or the other one of only having "one or two". To me, having only one or two was more painful/stressful than not drinking at all. It has been difficult, but nothing worth while is easy....every day is a little easier and you will be so happy to remove the guilt of binge drinking.....good luck!
