Lost my beloved beagirl today

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly she begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

I am feeling for you least, i lost my 14 yr old Chi boy 3 weeks ago Monday =*( He is running free at rainbow bridge with no pain or suffering now...and i know i will see him again, cause if theres a Heaven there's Dogs there. Thinking of you!
It is really hard to let them go, to help them pass.

I'm sorry for your loss Least. It is hard to make that decision.
My husband and I made the same decision on July 19th for our baby Kola and miss her terribly. I still expect to see her when I come home.

I am so sorry for your loss, I know pets become part of the family for most of us I started crying when I read this post because I dread our family's Daisy passing. She's 14 and she's going completely blind and deaf and isn't moving right. She's been my mom's only companion for years since we moved out. I will be crushed and hurting but my mom will be so devastated that I am crying thinking about it. I hope I have the strength you have when the time comes. ((((hugs))))

Two years ago I said goodbye to my beloved cat Toby, who was 19 and had already outlived more than 9 lives. It broke my heart, even though it was the right thing.
My heart cries for you today, Least, because I know your pain. I also know how much love your Beagirl brought you over the years. May that love sustain you now.

I'm sorry for your loss. As hard as the decision you had to make was, it was an act of love, right to the end. I'm sure she had a happy life with you. May the good memories your other pets be a source of consolation.
