Stomach Problems

Today is my 44th day Sober from Alcohol. I feel fine some days and others I get really bad upset stomach and feel nauseated. My stomach gets so upset I just wanna stay in and not do anything.

I guess I'm trying to find out if this is normal with others who quit drinking?

No, that didn't happen to me.

It really seems like you should talk to your dr about what's going on.

I had stomach problems--serious ones--until I got sober. I think checking with a doctor is a good idea. Not every physical ailment is recovery related. Thats why non-alcoholics get checked out too when things aren't going right.

I had plenty of stomach issues while I was drinking Slim. They improved when I stopped. Maybe a visit to the Doctor is in order? Congrats on 44 days!

Best Wishes To You!

Don't forget that alcohol will cover up pains, and aches.

Now that you are sober your body is doing what it knows how to do best, and that is alert you through pain that it needs assistance.

Have a doctor check it out

It's not all the time. Just some mornings I feel really qweezy. It always goes away later in the day. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

I would definitely go to the doc. I went about 2 months ago after quitting for a month fearing the worst(As I had been drunk for a decade) and was pleasantly surprised everything looked ok. If nothing else it took a load off my mind.

I'll have to see what I can do. I have no insurance. I'm also thinking It might be stress related. I stress and get anxiety a lot.

Anxiety might be a factor here, as that can make one's digestion 'off'...I agree that seeing A Dr. is a good idea, if possible.

I've been without insurance too.

In Washington D.C. I connected to a free clinic

In Fl. I used a county health department.

I had good care from both...and often non narco free sample meds.

I sure hope you will consider checking locally into what is available...
