After 7 years of being clean off heroin, I managed to get myself hooked on vicodin for 2 months. I was taking around 3 of the 7.5's for 2 months straight. I haven't taken a pill in 3 days. The anxiety is absolutely killing me. I dragged myself to the dr today and was prescribed three .25 Xanaxs a day for 3 days. I took my first one and I'm not any better. Will this go away soon? I can't even function. I have never had issues with anxiety in the past. I'm also on a 50mg zoloft a day since July 8th. Please tell me this constant anxiety will pass soon. I have small children and my husband is deploying in the navy in 5 days. Please...any reassurance..

I'm new to this site but i do know that antidepressents take a few weeks to a few months to fully work and feel better. Give the Zoloft more time. Know that its going to help you and trust its coming. =)
