Blogging For Support

It's just something I'm trying to help me quit by getting feedback and support. Thanks for reading/caring.

So I figured if I was going to stop drinking I should probably write about it. I have all these thoughts and things I want to say all the time about it and can’t just go around telling people about my problem. This way it will give me something to do at night and release some thoughts. I was going to try and quit tonight and made it until about 10 minutes ago when I stopped by Phillips and picked up a 12 pack of Mich Ultra.

Thanks guys.

I don't have a set plan. I was hoping by blogging I could receive support from others in my situation. I guess my whole plan is Mind Over Matter, kind of like my screen name.

I'm sick and tired of spending money on drinks, the restless nights, the waste of time, etc. The list could go on and on. I believe anything is possible if you set your mind to it and really want it.

But as always, I am open to suggestions and welcome them!

I think determination and commitment are important for sure...but I think support is
vital too.

I know you'll find a lot of support and ideas here, anyway

It pretty much all starts with putting down the drink, I think.

I think it is important to write the list down that goes on and on. It helped firm my resolve. After many false starts over the last 12 months I am here 27 days sober !!
