New and wanting to stop
Hey yall. I've been using pain pills for about a year. Recreationally but also needed them for my feet. I work in a kitchen on my feet the whole time running around on concrete. Soo anyway. I have to stop this. I'm not me anymore. Yesterday I took 11 tens I believe and day before 12 and before that near 20. I am only stopping cause I only had two left and this is a good time to say NO MORE. I took a half a ten. And then I told my husband some of what was going on. But not telling him I've been buying them. I can't keep on this road. I lost my mother to this. My husband is supportive and I love him so much. I gave him my last pill and half. Not sure if he will even let me have them to help with withdrawal. He said to just flush them and deal with what comes. My leg hurts so bad when I don't have them, but I think it is from the pills themselves. So does anyone know how bad I'm going to have withdrawals? I have been through this before but never go more then two days without them. I'm going to want them soo bad again. Please help me
Hi and I'm glad you have decided you need to stop using the pills.
It might be a good idea to check with your dr and see if there are alternative ways to deal with the pain in your legs - massage, accupressure, that kind of thing.

Thank you Anna. I believe quitting the pills will be the solution I need. I have had shots in my feet to help with that pain. But these doctors want so much money to make us better. Shots are 80 a pop and I had five in my feet at one time. Thankfully he only charged for one shot but the out of pocket expense was 200!
Worried how I'm going to be coping with this. I don't want to want those pills.

Welcome to the forum! I really feel for you, and I hope you can get thing sorted out. Have you ever considered a short-term detox?
I know it's hard to think about the withdrawal, dealing with your pain, changing jobs, etc..... but the alternative is needing more and more just to feel decent and losing ourselves along the way.
