Welcome Akua - I had to focus on getting through the day minute by minute at first. It felt weird to be sober at first, but I got a little stronger each day. I agree that you shouldn't worry about the days ahead - we can only start from where we're at.

You're posting and you made a big decision to dump the alcohol - so you should feel really good about that.
