I am writing in the hopes that I can get some advice and support with my addiction. I am in the throws of Opiate addiction that developed from a back injury years ago. I really need to get help before the addiction takes over my life. My problem is that I am uninsured and don't know where to to turn. I am working but barely getting by and the cost for treatment, i have discovered, is very costly to someone in my sutuation. I have searched and searched and can not find any assistance for people like me and I am hopeful that there are others out there that will have some suggestions about where I can turn for help. I really am ready to get sober but I am lost and don't know what to do...please, any information would be appreciated.

I don't have any experience with opiate withdrawal, but sure relate to the prospect of getting clean and sober without insurance.

There are folks here who have succesfully done it though.

Just coming here to SR has been a huge support this past year.

Have you thought of going to a support group like NA ?

A lot of places have free or low cost clinics. Have you googled 'freeclinics' and your hometown?
