Been struggling with my disease for many years. Im 28 years old, live in the northwest & at one point in time in my life i had over 2 & a half years of sobriety so i know the drill so to speak.
I think its cool theres a forum dedicated to 'recovery' and im hoping to to meet some interesting people here who i can share stories with & vent, lol.

welcome Done! you'll find plenty of people with different stories here to keep you interested - and hopefully this time - Sober for good
Out of curiosity - 2.5 years is a good chunk of change... how did you do it the first time, and what made you stop?

Thanks!
Glad you're here, Jesse! Lots of support here and people who understand what you're going through. There's a section for substance abuse, too: Substance Abuse - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information
Jesse, this is a wonderful place that helped me get sober after a lifetime of drinking. I know what you mean about relapsing - it's so easy to fall back on our old 'friend' when times get tough. I couldn't continue to do that, & had to find a new way to live, or I'd die.
Congratulations on wanting a new and better life for yourself - you've made a great decision, & I know it's not easy at a young age. Let us know how it's going for you.
