What an AWESOME year it's been!

Happy Birthday! Congrats on your success. I am sure it was very tough at times but I'm also sure the sacrifices are well worth the rewards. Thank you for sharing!

Snarfffffffff!

It's amazing our similarities. Heck, we even went to the same jail for the same crime

You are living proof that sobriety, good happy sobriety is there for us all, as long as we do the work.

Keep it up and we'll hit up a meeting together as soon as one of us can drive

Kjell~

Fo sho. I'm pretty pumped about going to pick up my 1-year chip. Maybe I'll make it into a necklace.

Congrats!

Man I wish I would have stuck with it when I most likely tried to quit last year.

Well I just started today, kind of a coincidence but hopefully I can be in your shoes next year on March 24th.

Thanks so much for the kind words, everybody. I really can't express how much this amazing site has meant to my life the last year. I'm truly thankful for all the wonderful folks here who share so much encouragement and support with me. Sometimes when I find myself in a sticky situation, I think to myself, "What would Carol or Dee tell me to do right now?" I've read so many posts from so many amazing people that I can almost know what they would tell me to do without even having to ask. It truly is a blessing.

Again, I'm so thankful each and every day for this wonderful place. This site saves me even when I'm not logged in. Now that's powerful.

Hope everyone has a fantastically awesome weekend! I see absolutely no reason to do otherwise.

You definitely can, Germanos. Trust me when I say that if I can stop drinking, anyone can stop drinking. And I say that for 2 reasons:

1) I pretty much outdrank anyone I knew, and I knew people that drank a lot. I know 1 guy who drank more than me, and he still keeps it up to this day. I'm praying for him to remove that burden from his life.

2) I know that I didn't do it on my own. There are no mystical powers that I possess. I just put all my faith in God, because I knew he could do for me what I could not do for myself. And he did, and he does, and he will. The more faith I place in him, the more he helps me in my life. And I know that he wants to do that for each and every person on earth.
