Hello, I am glad to find this site!

Hello, my name is Scott. I am glad to find this site. It seems as if I keep pushing a day or two sober and then keep getting back into the bad habits again.

My bad habits started in college about ten years ago. I am 30 and am still drinking like I was when I was in school. Those 6-12 beers a day aren't good for my health but it's a habit that makes me feel good and makes the time pass.

Anyways, I am glad to find this place and I look forward to chatting and learning from everyone.

Hi Scott and welcome to the forum.....

I can relate to caving in the 3rd or 4th day (just when we feel good and in control again). If you find that you keep breaking promises to yourself to stay sober, your drinking may be a bit more than a bad habit. Keep reading and posting - we understand.

I couldn't quit on my own either. We all need support......:ghug3

Welcome ...

For me to actually quit and stay quit....
I had to want sobriety more than I wanted to drink.
