seventh day

has commenced. I think the worst of my detox is over now, i'm not so anxious and overemotional anymore. I just feel very very tired, even tough I slept enough tonight.

things between my girlfriend and I are still not going very smooth right now. I can't use drama r, my recovery is all to me. She has gone to her family and friends for a couple of days.
It gives me the time to set things a bit more straight, and for her proberly too. I hope we'll make it. i'm gonna use these days to go to a couple of meetings. I think i'm finally doing this recovery thing properly. I'm taking the right steps.

It very hard sometimes, being contronted with all this shite, but it's for the better.

Congratulations on your week of sobriety! That's really great CC. I hope you and your girlfriend can work things out. Sometimes a little space is needed to clear one's head.

Congrats on your 7 days, CC.

I remember the wonderful feeling of the physical detox being over; continue to give your body, mind and spirit time to heal.

Rest, rest, rest, eat healthy and do positive things to keep the spirit and mind in balance.

A meeting is a great idea. Associating with other people face-to-face who've been where you're at can put a positive perspective on things and is a great motivator for continuing a life in recovery.

This is self-care time; it is by no means selfish to be taking this time for you to get well.

thanks for the replys u guys....

the confrontation with other addicts and their similar struggles are helping me a lot...
i´m very very relieved that the physical effects, well at least the worst, are over....
the contact with my gf, text messages and a phone call were good, so at least the vibe is positive and that makes the next couple of days a bit easier...one less thing to worry about..
i´ve got vacation now, the next 9 days im off from work, so i can use the time to get my rest, work out a bit, reflect....

good things....

Congrats on a week! Just take things one-day-at-a-time and you'll be ok.
