Admit

It took hitting rock bottom for me to see I had a problem. I have been dry for 20 hrs. I have trouble typing because my hands won't stop shacking, it's made it very diffacult to do my job because it involes a lot of typing. I hope the shacks go away by tommrow because it is my 2yr anniversary, and I want to take my wife flowers, and I don't want here to see my like this. But I geuss if they don't I will still take her the flowers so at lease I get to see her and show that I am putting my good foot forward.

Please be careful in detoxing- sometimes medical assistance is necessary. Take care and keep posting.

Hi Howard

Sleepies right - some people may get through detox fine, but some of us really need medical supervision.

Please think about seeing your Dr or going to the ER.

Welcome, Wilson! Getting sober would be a wonderful anniversary gift for both of you! It's not easy getting through the first couple of days (a doctor can help with the withdrawal symptoms). I spent alot of time posting and reading to help with the cravings. Hang in there - it really does get better!!

I see that you live in Fort Bragg, NC.

Are you in the Service?

My husband didnt drink for 20 yrs.
then his wife of 35 yrs passed away
3 yrs ago due to illness.

He quickly blamed his HP
for his lost.

I met him and shared how
he know of AA way back
when but didnt work any
kind of recovery program .

Today we r married and he
now has a solid recovery
foundation in place this time.

Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcohol.

By the grace of my HP and people
like u here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and you I am truely
grateful.

Congrats on ur 2 yrs..!
