It's time...

Hi everyone,

I have to come clean and admit I have been stalking you all for 37 days now. :rotfxko That is how long it has been since I had my last drink.

At first I thought I would start out on a 90 day "challenge" and then see how it goes from there but the longer I don't drink, the more I realise how much power it had over me. Another thing I realise is that I actually am starting not to miss it. Sure...a few times I think about it but the thoughts are usually fleeting.

Anyway, i just wanted to stop being "shy" and introduce myself and thank all of you for keeping me sober over the past 37 days.

Welcome!

I didn't know how much power and control the alcohol had over my life until I stopped drinking either. It was shocking. I'm glad you're doing well and I hope you keep reading and posting.

Welcome oz!!!! Congratulations on 37 days - that fantastic! I credit SR with my sobriety, too. I don't feel alone in this anymore, and like you said, I really don't miss what alcohol did to me!

hehe...yeah, you are right Dee, it is 38 days now!! Friday afternoon after work is always the challenging day though. Traditionally it was my "wind" down night where it would tie it on more so than usual.

But...I will not drink today. One day at a time....
