I am grateful to know that I do have a problem, that there are things about myself that are not nice and good, that I have to change inorder for my life to get better. I am grateful to know what I need to do.

It's a gift, that insight, isn't it. To also realize that self knowledge is not enough. That there must be change. We, as Alcoholics, are given a true and honest blueprint that others miss out on. I'm grateful too. Not to have to be enslaved by the worst of me anymore.
