Day 13 - And All's Well

Hi All,

Just wanted to check in with my on-line accountability group to let you know that I'm on Day 13 of a new and sober life!

If I've said it before, I'll say it a thousand times over - it feels incredible to wake up sober in the morning!!

Thanks to everyone for your ongoing love, prayers and support, and please know that I'm praying for all of you as well.

God Bless,

RacerX

13 days is great and that waking up sober feeling is the absolute best. No matter how many triggers or weak moments you face the night before, that feeling will always be worth not giving in. Well done.

So true, Saphie, and I wouldn't be honest if I said I have not struggled with triggers and weak moments. That said, the cravings do go away if you just wait it out (better yet, get on the phone and call someone) and my 7:30 AA meetings have been a huge blessing in breaking up my trigger times.

Stay in the day my friend, call folks like you are doing now, that saved my butt early on, but the real coup de grace was taking the steps with my sponsor. Congrats on day 13, the only one that really counts today is today!
