Anyone else excited?
Day one sobriety for me and surprisingly I'm not sad or scared anymore. Just sick of the same old drinking routine! Now more excited to see what my new future holds!
Glad SR is here for me though for tough times.

Day 1 was a few years ago for me, but I still get excited about recovery. It's like I wake up and sit on the edge of the bed and say "OK God whaddya got for me today"?
And yeah, I'm grateful for SR and AA, without my recovery I'd have nothing.

I'm excited by all the new things I have learned since I quit.
I've learned to:
Lessen my obsessions
Increase my patience
Run
Bike
Rollerblade
Take ONE thing on AT A TIME... and put it away too
Try new things,
How to keep my anxiety mostly manageable without drugs and alcohol.
Enjoy cutting and splitting wood that heats my home...
Take interest in coloring with my kids and endless games they play
I'm running out of paper... you get the point. I'm still excited by living sober and not under a hangover!!
