Grateful to those who serve

Gramps was a lieutenant colonel and today I miss him lots. Today I am in awe of the dedication to country and fellow countrymen soldiers have. Today I am reminded of all that they sacrifice so that I may have so much.

When downtown today with hubby and watched the parade. Very nice day and very touching. Had a few people thank my husband and myself 4 servicing. I only did 3 years in peace time eon's ago, but very proud of hubby who is still serving with over 24 years. Was so nice 2 see the old veterans as they rode by in beautiful cars and waving.

It always amazes me that every generation has brave people willing to step up to the plate to defend our way of life. What would have happened to us without them?
