Thanks Penny Lane for such a great post.

I completely relate! When drinking, you can put all of the "other" stuff on the back burner, try to forget about it. I would pay the necessary bills but put all the other mail in a bin and stuff it in a closet. I would leave the pictures in the digital camera and not develop them. My youngest has FAR fewer pictures floating around because they are still sitting inside a memory card. I would do a great job getting the yard together in the spring, but had a hard time keeping up on it the rest of the summer. I would plan wonderful menus, shop for the ingredients, but then when it came time to cook, we would go out for dinner because after having a "few" after work, I just didn't feel like cooking. I would make a to-do list at the beginning of the weekend and maybe get two chores out of ten accomplished. Maybe. Etc. Etc. Etc.
