I'm a total **** uk ..excuse the language.
I''M BACK AFTER NUMEROUS RELAPSES AND I JUST DON'T THINK AA IS CUTTING IT FOR ME ANY LONGER; AFTER ONE YEAR I';VE GOT NO BETTER AND BELIEVE ME I'VE TRIED. EVERY FEMALE I'VE ASKED TO BE MY SPONSOR HAS MADE 'POLITE' EXCUSES WHICH ONLY MADE ME FEEL WORSE, AND EVEN SOME OF THE MEN REFUSED BAR ONE.
THIS HAS MADE ME FEEL UTTERLY REJECTED AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE GOING BACK ANY MORE.
I FEEL VERY LET DOWN BY AA AND I THINK I'LL GO IT ALONE FROM NOW ON. I CAN'T SAY ANY MORE COS TOO UPSET.
GOD BLESS:praying YOU ALL XXXXX

Some AA groups offer temporary sponsorship Arabella, you could find out which groups in your area do that.
How much sober time do you have now? Some folks in AA are a little standoffish when a person repeatedly relapses. Once you've got a few 24's strung together, it'll make all the difference, to you and them.
I wish you well on the sponsor hunt and remember Step 1, don't pick up no matter what happens, and keep going to meetings.
hugs

AA is not the only way to find sobreity.
Here is a list of recovery programs for you to explore

Welcome back to SR....
As Carol said AA is not the only road to recovery. The path is not so important as the result (recovery). AA happens to be the path that worked for me. Please read through the list that Carol provided a link to. You can find recovery sometimes it just takes trying a different way. Keep us posted.

Keep coming back . SR forum is full of support and one of the best ' place on earth ' for me ( I've visited over 60 coutries all over the world ) .
Today is a victory day . 21 days sober after 2 days relapse and 1.5 years soberity .
Well , I don't like the wording ' sponsor ' , ' sponsoring ' . But if it works why not try I've heard many times on AA meetings .
I can be shy , shut mouth man and even hate it ... Why not ?
I'll give it a go and I'll try to find someone , a sponsor , a friend to chat with .
Keep it up . We are on the same ' bid boat '
Warmly , witt
