30 days!
Wow! I actually did it. Today for the first time in at least 15 years, I have gone 30 days without alcohol. Life still isn't a bowl of cherries, I still crave a beer several times a day, but it's better. Overall I'm a much happier person, and I definitely don't want to go through week 1 again, so I'm sticking it out. I'm going for 60 days now.
I allowed myself to basically eat whatever I wanted during the last month, and of course I have been smoking more than usual, but all that changes today. I'm now going to focus on my overall health, now that I have a little sober time under my belt.
Anyway, thanks everybody, ecspecially the class of Dec. Couldn't have done it without ya.

It's time to change!

Way to go Thib. I am only ahead of you by 9 days. I took the opposite approach with Gestapo type measure on food. If you remember I did a 10 Day Fast.
I swore I did it for Detox reasons, but I dropped 12 pounds and I am still 10 down from it. Once you see it gone you don't want it back - hehe!
Do the right thing and get your body in shape and control the crap you put in your mouth.
I have stayed committed to my 3 Spin Classes a week and try to run 3 miles on Saturday at our runner's park here in Houston.
I also only consume 1700 calories a day - Monday through Thursday. On the weekends I let myself enjoy food.
I do find now that if I over eat I get the same guilt feelings I did with my morning hangovers.
Man, the addict brain is a bitch.
Anyway -- Kick Ass on your 30 Days and do whatever keeps you moving forward and happy.
