Well really didnt do too well in Jan. Didn't stop as planned.

But last night saw my first alcohol free night for as far as i can remember....

and tonight, well thats the same. Another sober night!!

I really didn't sleep well last night but got up early for work excited and proud.

Feel a little queezy but otherwise great( if a little tired).

One day at a time.

Well just awoke after my second sober night. Slept better and feel GREAT.

Why didn't i do this earlier. I'm sure it's going to get harder but i feel so determined to beat this!

Appear to be symptom (withdrawal)free which i a bonus after more than a hundred unit a week for 20 years.

Good deal stryker, just take it one day at a time, just be very aware that some times withdrawals really do not get bad until day 3-4, so do not hesitate to call a doctor if needed.

Well day 3 under my belt. Slept loke a log last nignt, no withdrawal symptoms at all.

Reading in bed before sleep is a revelation. I don't have to read the same chapter over and over because now i remember what i read LOL.

To help keep me motivated i'm putting away the money i save from not drinking. I know its early days but what will it be? Lotus or ford GT???

Welcome back

I've read it - I found it a good read but it didn't get me sober (I read it later).

Readings great but do you have more in the way of plans Stryker?

Welcome and best of luck. Just curious what's a UK unit (liter?) I'm on day 2 2, after having averaged about 8-10; though my pattern is/ was very bingy. Here in the states it would be 1 12 oz beer or. 1 8 oz glass of wine.

UK measure is either pint or half pint or mls for spirits and wine.
