New Years Day: Who Feel GREAT This Morning?
I feel good. Nananananaa. I knew that I would. *Everybody sing*
I remember last night! That is great! I had a wonderful time at a sober party. Then I went to the gym this morning. i have a big pot of black eyed peas on. Life is good!
Happy New Year to all of you and yours!

Not me, I feel like crap. I went to a New Years party with friends and ...you guessed it. I drank. I had 5 glasses of wine and 3 of champagne (I think) over a period of 5 hours (on an empty stomach) and I'm sooooo ill today- YUK! Serves me right. I had gone 4 days w/o alcohol and trying to "cut back". Last night I was having so much fun...life of the party...and thought that the more I drank, the more fun the experience became. I KNOW I KNOW...you all told me it would happen. I DID have a great time...full of life, talkative, animated, friendly, dancing, singing, joking... I wish I could do all that stuff sober. Any ideas? Words of wisdom? I greatly value all of your opinions. There are so many great people on this site and I want to thank each one of you.
PS-Happy New Year everyone.

I'm feeling great mentally but on the physical side, naaaah. I have a bad head cold and the dog I was taking care of really hated the fireworks: we both had a rough night. But, I am serene and feel great about my sobriety. I thought about what I did last New Years (drank, not fun) and the New Years before, (drank, not fun)....etc for the last 6 years before that.
I'm really looking forward to what sobriety will bring me this new year!

Me too for Two. Although last year, we went out to an Alcohol Free concert. This year we just stayed home in front of the tv...didn't feel like New Year's at all without some kind of celebration?
