Remarkable Detox and I'm Off!
Hi All:
I last posted about 5 weeks ago to express great anxiety about the need to get off 140 mg./day of hydrocodone and well over a pint of vodka a day. Based on the accounts of many stories I read here and elsewhere, I was scared to death of the effects of withdrawl from that much narco.
To make a long story short I finally bit the bullet and checked into treatment on December 17. The detox physician used subutex, and it worked amazingly well! In 9 days I was completely clean, and the side-effects were definitely tolerable. I just got out of treatment, have a sponsor, and am hitting meetings and this site (now) often.
Just thought others who have the kind of anxiety I had might find some comfort in the possibilities of a "quick" withdrawl from percocets and oxycontin.

No doubt. I was addicted to all opiates, alcohol and pot. I went to teatment for 7 weeks. Detox was only 7 days though. clean for 5 months now and continue to go to 5-6 regular meetings a week. Good luck to you all. Hope you find many true friends. Those meetings really help.
