Goals do come true!
Goals do come true!
Hey everyone,
I have been going through a difficult time and appreciate all of the support I have gotten. Now I want to share some GOOD NEWS.
I have been in school the last 4 semesters to get my LCDC (Licensed chemical dependency counselor). First you have to get a CI (Counselor Intern) License and I got mine yesterday!!!
So now I will need to work under an LCDC for 4000 hours before I become a "real" counselor, but I am on my way to a dream that I have had for a LONG time.
Thanks to all of you for your ongoing support
Love,
Tanya:ghug

Tanya, I'm SO PROUD OF YOU!!! There just aren't enough words to express how happy I am for you at the moment. I know this is a huge amazing thing. You have worked so hard and you are making it! What a great gift of recovery! This is truly a fantastic achievement and it is a great inspiration to me and others because it shows us that great things can happen in recovery.

Well this is a huge relief, Tanya - I've been worried since reading your other thread but haven't known what to say. Having that profession will be so gratifying. (You're turning lemons into lemonade for sure.)
That's wonderful Tanya! What a feeling of accomplishment you must have! I am really happy for you and for the people you are about to help. What a difference that job will make for many, many people.
