So-isn't it weird how things can work out?
Today, Jonathan says to me-'You know how I said I'd like a party the weekend after my birthday?'(his b'day is the Wednesday night) I say-Yeah.He goes-'I'd asked my friends about that Saturday but one of them is playing in a band that saturday night so someone suggested we all go watch him then celebrate my birthday after.'
*sigh*
I'm so relieved.
I said-okay-You have my birthday gift to use as you want-but I'm glad you have an occassion to go to and your friends will be there.
No party in my house.I will always be concerned about what he's doing out there.But I'm allowed.I'm his mom.
Thank you all for your support.It helped so much.

Dont ever do anything you feel uncomfortable with. You had every reason to be concerned. Not only with having teenagers partying in your house. And being responsible for whatever might happen. But for your own recovery as well.

Well Jules, as always I am late on your post. I am very glad it all worked out for you and Happy belated Birthday to your son. I am sure he's got a great head on his shoulders. He, after all, has you as his mom and I can't think of anything better. Love ya!
