Thanks for the concern, still alive hehe. I went 4 days sober...but then my dad bought me 8 cans of beers after I told him I had to give up. Don't know what that's about, but I'll probably have to move out pretty soon. Sorry I didn't respond, but I could hardly make something to eat in the first few days! let alone anything else.

I pretty much can do it!! Although I think I'll need at least a month to recover to get back to normal maybe. Still not advisable...but I just can't face going to the doctors yet.

Excited to live a sober life?

No.

And that's probably the biggest reason why I'm not living a sober life yet.

Dammit.

You're just a sumbeam Jen *sigh*....It's not like that for everyone, and while I agree alcoholism ultimately leads to death-I don't see anything edifying in being dramatic about it.Especially with newbies.I've detoxed at home on my own several times and am still here.I dont reccommend it and I know it can be dangerous-but just stay a bit balanced about it.Not everybody dies. But see a doctor if you're worried.

Brad-I'm sorry you're struggling.I have had so many false starts too-but seem to be getting the hang of it these days. But I'm not cocky.I know I'm only ever one drink away.

I hope you start again and find a way that works for you. There are many roads to recovery-just get all the support you need. There's tons of it here.

Jules.
