See, I've missed so much I don't even know what this means ..... it's probably even funny and I can't get a laugh. I'm just too lazy to go back and figure it out.
Had appt with my shrink yesterday. Complaining cause I'm having some sleepless nights and I'm too old to stay up all night and still function the next day! He said I was probably in my "manic" state. He blames my inability to sleep so many nights to my bi-polar. I just had to correct him. I said it's much more accurate to say I'm manic-depressive, as that better describes how I feel: either manic or depressed. Besides, bi-polar makes me sound like a magnet!
Still in a very manic state, tho I did sleep last night, and I took advantage of the manic energy by cleaning my den!! I hadn't cleaned it for months and the floor was a sea of paper, junk, dust, and dog hair. Well now it's clean! And the dogs have more space they can lie down, especially the blind one as he used to trip on the piles of junk all the time! So I partly did it for him, but mostly just too much energy and once I started cleaning it, I couldn't stop til I was done. So now I have a Nice Clean Room!! A good thing, as I spend a large amount of my time in my den. Computer, books, stereo, dogs on the floor - it's got just what I need!
Feeling very good about coming to the end of day nine. Not going to get too cocky, as that can bring about my downfall, but feeling very happy that I've gotten this far. I had gotten pretty bad about not being able to stay sober for too long. So nine days is really great. It would have been a lot harder, and no fun at all, if I'd done it without all of you! Thank you to all, your support means more than I can say.
