it's good that you hit a bottom and that you are feeling sad and it is ok. it's a blessing that you feel sad when there are sad things to feel. if you can remember these sad feelings going forward they can help you stay sober. it's hard 9 months after the sadness to remember the sadness. then the other feelings, the things from growing up, the sadness that you felt when you parents yelled at you for spilling a cup of milk at the dinner table, these feelings come up and we don't even know what happened and it doesn't even mjatter what haqppened, but we just want to run from them or push them down, and so we use. and a lot of other reasons for using too.
