Great job everyone. Really inspirational.

Never thought it possible, but 583 days for me today.

For anyone just starting or contemplating starting, the effort you put in is so worth everything you get out of being sober.

Couldn't have done it without this community!

Between 52 and 53 days. Will have to check. Currently thinking more about stopping smoking than I am about alcohol. I love being sober no matter how crap. There used to be a bit of a dispute going on in detox about whether the first day off the grog was counted as Day 1 or should this be counted as day zero? Days can be important in the beginning that's when you're under construction and it gives focus.

2,137, but who's counting. Not me, I only figured it out to respond to this thread.

The reason why is I stopped drinking January 1, 2004 which is over 12 years ago. Unfortunately, I thought I was cured after about 5 1/2 years and thought I could drink normally. Wrong. Without my relapse I would have twice that. Unfortunately, my relapse was about a year long affair of on again - off again drinking.

When I finally managed to get sober, I found that starting over counting at day 1 was depressing after having had a couple thousand days. So I quit counting.

Now when I add the days up, I see I've passed my previous streak. But I'm still going to work on 1 day at a time, I can't afford to get complacent again.
