second day

Well day 2 is now almost over. I am feeling a little better, but the guilt is riding me (ya'll know how this goes...). I guess its good that I feel guilty, it means that I know I am doing something wrong.

Just checking in - trying to be accountable.

Thanks for being there!

Hey Jes!

I'm glad you checked in now. And I'm happy to hear you made it to day 2, and are feeling a little better. I think you should ditch the guilt and treat yourself very gently. I don't know what guilt is good for. Contemplation about how you could do things better has a place, I think. But guilt doesn't help you. In fact, I think it can lead back to drinking. Be gentle with yourself.

Have you found a meeting?

Thanks mle-sober. I went to a young people's meeting last night and plan to go again tomorrow night. It is nice to be around younger people (i know...we all are going through the same thing...) I know the guilt doesn't do anyone any good.

Hey thanks for checkin in and 2 days is awesome.

I know some here go back and read what they wrote when they first quit. That, I thought was a good idea so you can see the changes you made. Kind of like a journal.

Sorry to hear about the quilt. Boy, I went through alot of that.

When I quit I was riddled with guilt, shame, embarrassment, & demoralization. That will be there. What is working for me is working the AA program's steps, working with a sponsor, and talking to other drunks. You have to stay sober one day at a time and work the steps one at a time and through them I have found that you will address the guilt and shame in time and learn the tools how to live sober.

Hey guys. I am now almost done with day 3. I acomplished the one big thing that I had to do today so it was a successful day (although I didn't clean my apartment...I guess that will wait until I get home from work tomorrow.)

Hope everyone has a good friday night!

Jess, Wonderful choice on going to the young people's meeting!

So many people try to avoid going to AA, they tell themselves that they don't need it or it won't work for them.

AA has helped millions of people worldwide.

Glad you're looking to be one in a million!

Keep Comin' Back!

God Bless,
Judy
