DJFreestyle-Yup, having the headaches myself. My husband said it's allergies..but I think it's a form of mild withdrawal. Hurt yesterday pretty bad though. As far as the energy drinks go...well in large quantities it's probably not good for you, that stuff can be hard on your kidneys but it is still much better than the alternative (alcohol). I know water sounds boring but it can actually help you feel good in the mornings and you can buy some flavor packets to liven the taste up for you, at least it's a way of getting hydrated which really helps energy levels more than caffeine does.

fallingdown and others, I have read that when we quit the booze sweet stuff is normally craved because our bodies want suger like what alcohol used to give use.

In early sobriety (6 months to a year) I found that my focus had to be on my sobriety and if I gained weight or smoked more, so be it!!!!

I can lose weight, I can quit smoking, but I can not replace a liver or brain cells!!!

I quit smoking once I had a year of sobriety and was solid in it. I just recently started going to the gym to work on the weight issue.

Being overweight or smoking is far less embarassing then sleeping in the gutter!!! LOL
