Should I tell my wife I quit drinking?
I agree with Tazman. The only thing that makes a marriage work is honest and open communication. Also, believe me, your wife will know!
Instead of worrying about failure, be honest with her and ask for her help. You both should think about attending AA and/or Alanon meetings. Your drinking and her "acceptance" makes for a co-dependent relationship.
The other big thing is, if you believe you'll fail, you will! It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Get some help and support fast.
