My sons>poetry is the best way I know
To the beginning of what will be the future.....
I can see the light,the light in your eyes,
It's coming back, your will to fight
I know you have been lost in a sad , confused place
And it's not suprising, considering what you have faced.
I wish you could see what we do when we look at you
Sadly, it may not be what you think, for we have reacted badly.
We see "HOPE" we see "LIGHT"
We see "STRENGTH"
You can win this fight.
We see how you "effect"
Everyone you meet
Most of the time we cannot find the words, or worse we find the wrong ones
To say what we feel and let you know we are proud
It is the fear that keeps us from speaking outloud.
"Our Son".......two simple words
Yet when we say it, it feels so big
It lights up our soul & fills our heart
I hope it helps you on your journey
To know we "LOVE" & "BELIEVE" in you
IT's NOW that your life starts.
Times in my life my friend said pray
No worries of the past
Or what you did last
Today...just pray
Give it to God in your own way
Does not have to be behind closed church doors
It can be outside where the eagle soars
No bible in hand, just your hand in mine
I did that just now, not 15 mins ago
On a tree stump in my backyard
Looking straight up at the stars.
And no, your hand was not there to hold
But I felt it was...I gave you to God
Bless your broken yet healing souls
If you know me and read this blog you will know where I am
At the moment you read this
That' s right back in the yard...on the tree stump
Say this with me as a prayer
It can never hurt to ask God to be there

poetry can be inspirational & certainly a good outlet for emotions.
Edgar Allan Poe wrote some good poetry (not just the Raven). In much of his poetry he is supposedly talking with his soul. this is is totally irrelevant (sp?). but i like his stuff, thanks for sharing poetry.
