Just wanted to say good morning to everyone. I've been under the weather so I haven't posted this weekend. I seem to be past the worst of it. Today is day 33 and all is well. Funny thing is before when I felt like I was coming down with something I thought I needed to drink more or switch to something stronger to help me get through it.

I think it can be a knee-jerk reaction to use alcohol to deal with almost anything. I know that's how my thinking was. But, you'll get used to getting through stuff, including being sick, without benefit of alcohol and it will get easier.

Oh yeah. I'd think, "It has alcohol in it, so that will kill whatever bug I got." Can't recall this technique ever working.

I can remember my ex husband and one of his friends were convinced that you could kill a cold with alcohol. "Get smashed and your cold will be gone the next day - though you'll have a hangover instead!"



I wonder if they still believe that. I haven't seen or heard from him in almost 3 years (thankfully!).
