I just emptied my liquor cabinet and fridge. It's a start.

It's weird, because the last few times I quit, I was able to get through the detox phase fairly easily. I love how you start to feel better, and you start to have a sense of control and well being. That's the dangerous part for me, after the sickness has passed and I feel good, then I want to drink again, usually within 1 to 4 weeks.

It's just maddening why we do this to ourselves.

I live in a small town and at every meeting at any location, they go around the room saying" hello, I'm_______-blah blah and an alcoholic.
