taking my first steps
ive taken my first steps toward recovery
first i admitted myself into detox for two weeks
stayed sober uptil now (four weeks)
and even went to my first AA meeting
i have to say, i was dubious about the AA meeting, but when i went in, i was greeted with the most warm reception, I even managed to speak about myself to everyone, then at the end i was presented with the big book, which many of the members had put a few words of encouragement into
(as well as phone numbers)
i was stunned and overwelmed by their care and generosity....not to mention a great feeling of "im not alone"
lastly i would like to thank the members and the new comers here, as ive been reading alot of the posts, and getting so much information from them
